Zymo Research Showcases Advancements in Microbiome Science at ASM Microbe 2026

Visit Booth #1425 | June 5–7 | Walter E. Washington Convention Center

Irvine, CA, May 5, 2026 — Zymo Research Corp., a global leader in molecular biology and microbiome solutions, today announced its participation in ASM Microbe 2026, taking place June 4–7 in Washington, D.C. At booth #1425, Zymo Research will highlight its latest innovations designed to improve reproducibility, accuracy, and accessibility in microbiome research.

ASM Microbe brings together scientists across clinical microbiology, microbial ecology, and translational research. At this year’s meeting, Zymo Research will emphasize its commitment to innovation and enabling high-quality microbiome data through its “Master the Microbiome” initiative. This is headlined by an Industry & Science Showcase presented by Chris Mason, PhD, Distinguished Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine, discussing the effects of lysis bias and other workflow artifacts on the apparent composition of the microbiome.

Activities at Zymo Research’s booth #1425 and poster presentations will highlight an integrated approach to microbiome research, combining validated methods for comprehensive workflow solutions in human microbiome, microbiome automation, and environmental microbiome applications. Attendees can engage directly with Zymo Research scientists and explore solutions spanning the entire microbiome workflow, including:

  • Microbial community standards for benchmarking and quality control
  • DNA and RNA extraction technologies optimized for diverse sample types
  • Next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation solutions
  • Comprehensive microbiome sequencing and multi-omics services

Interactive demonstrations and scientific showcases will highlight applications across environmental, clinical, and host-associated microbiomes, with a focus on minimizing bias and maximizing data integrity.

“Advancing microbiome science requires not only innovation, but also standardization and reproducibility across workflows,” said Brett Farthing, Product Manager of Microbiome Solutions at Zymo Research. “Our goal is to equip researchers with the tools and expertise needed to generate reliable, high-resolution data from sample collection to sequencing and analysis.”
