Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Data entry: enter specimen information into laboratory information system (LIS).
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
• Completes all paperwork required to process and submit specimens.
• Coordinate with clinics, hospitals, etc. for sample submission process
• Follows standard sequences/coding when entering data and corrects, edits, and/or verifies data.
• Package and ship orders of sample collection supplies for MiDOG customers, record sample IDs and tracking information in the laboratory information system.
• Ideally the candidate would be open to laboratory work as well, involving a lysis step of animal blood samples.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma required, Associate Degree is a plus
• 1-2 years of experience in laboratory accessioning is advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Previous experience in a medical office or diagnostic laboratory is preferred

Compensation:

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $20 to 22 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
